For over 25 years Dr. Jones had studied highly successful teachers-the "naturals"-to see how they make success look easy. His pioneering work began while on the faculty of the UCLA Medical Center as head of the Child Experimental Ward of the Neuropsychiatric Institute. Dr. Jones continued his work in both regular and special classrooms that was to become the research for his two highly acclaimed books, Positive Classroom Discipline and Positive Classroom Instruction published by McGraw-Hill.
